Yes, I'm the lucky punter. We want to fix it urgently but the bureaucracy machine has started. Can't begin proceedings until the engineer's report is complete (at least a week), then it's slowly slowly from there until everyone has their say. In the meantime, the council want the building (three flats - seven people) evacuated today until the work is completed for "safety" reasons. Who knows how long that will take?! The engineer doesn't know what the fuss is all about and said there's no risk to the property ... I just want to get it sorted!
