Day 120 - Humpy doo

Humpy doo

This is our childhood toy, made by my father when I was just a few months old. I have no idea why it's called a humpy doo, other than my parents would sing "humpy doo, humpy day" while rocking us in it. My brother and I played with it for a couple of years and now it is enjoyed by my 19-month-old nephew. The only problem is, he thinks it has wheels instead of a rocker, as he is used to being pushed around in it. As soon as he climbs inside now, he expects someone to come and push him! Hmm, I wonder if there is any way of attaching a small motor and a steering wheel? ;-)

  1. You may be on to something. Why don't you create a prototype and see what happens?

  2. That is cute! I love old toys, especially those that people made.

Say cheese!
